  • Cleaning Line/Kettle Operator - 2nd Shift

    Greencastle, Pennsylvania

    BECK Manufacturing, located in Greencastle, PA, and a division of Anvil International, is seeking a Cleaning Line/Kettle Operator for 2nd shift.

    2nd Shift: Monday through Friday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm / $14.50

     

    The Cleaning Line/Kettle Operator is responsible for moving kettles of finished parts from various machines to the separator, and then to the Cleaning Line or Packing Department; duties include but are not limited to ensuring threaded parts are properly cleaned; maintaining proper chemical levels and temperatures in the tanks; conducting daily checks; periodically change the chemicals and clean the tanks; conduct inspections consisting of a visual check of each barrel to confirm the parts are clean and free of chips, dirt and rust; and ensure there is a uniform rust preventative coating applied to the parts.

  • Machine Operator 2nd Shift

    Greencastle, Pennsylvania

    BECK Manufacturing, a division of Anvil International, located in Greencastle, PA is accepting Applications for Machine Operator 2nd shift.

     

    Location:  BECK Manufacturing, Greencastle PA

    Shift: 2nd / Monday through Friday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm

    Rate: $14.50 

     

    The Machine Operator will operate various auto thread machines. The Operator is responsible for loading the machines with pieces of pipe that have been cut to a specified length per the production schedule (cut blanks).   Some machines must be “hand-fed” by the operator. The operator uses his/her hands to pick up the cut blanks out of the tub and place them into the machine loading magazine (above shoulder reach). Other machines are fed automatically as the operator uses a rake to pull cut blanks into a large bowl that rotates and loads them into the machines.

     

    The operator may be responsible for running up to six machines based on production demands.

  • Sideloader Operator - 2nd Shift

    Greencastle, Pennsylvania

    BECK Manufacturing located in Greencastle PA, a division of Anvil International, is accepting Applications for a Side Loader Operator (similar to Forklift Operator) for 2nd shift.

    2nd: Monday through Friday, 3:00pm to 11:30pm, $14.50

    The Sideloader Operator is responsible for moving material from one location to another. The lift driver must scan the material as s/he moves it from one location to another for proper inventory tracking.  

    Sideloader Operators must keep machine operators supplied with raw material as well as move finished products away from the machine operators. 

    Sideloader Operators sometimes work in very tight areas. Therefore, special attention must be paid to the safe operation of the forklift.  Product is stored in racks.  Extreme care is required when placing a bundle on a rack.  The operator needs to make sure the pipe in the bundle will not fall when a lift is made. 

    Sideloader Operators may operate various cutters (when required), and are responsible for general maintenance on their Sideloader.

  • Cut Off Operator - 2nd Shift

    Greencastle, Pennsylvania

    Beck Manufacturing, located in Greencastle PA, a division of Anvil International, is seeking a Cut-Off Machine Operator for 2nd shift:

    2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm, $13.75

     

    The Machine Operator sets the machine to cut pipe to a specified length. The machine is either an automatic feed or the operator will hand feed the machine by pulling the pipe at waist level until the cutting blade engages. 

     

    The operator must periodically check for quality and accuracy of length and/or bore size using gages or dial calipers. The operator may be required to make minor adjustments to the machine using general hand tools including hammers, screwdrivers, open and closed end wrenches, ratchets and sockets in order to achieve desired results.

     

    The operator is responsible for changing the cutting tool using an allen wrench when needed, maintaining the proper level of all lubricants using site gages or visual inspection, keeping their work area clean and safe, keeping foreign objects out of the tubs containing cut pipe, and maintaining accurate production records in the computer system. 

     

    Operators will run one or two machines based on the level of automation of the machine.

Our comprehensive line of products includes: pipe couplings, plain-end fittings, valves, cast and malleable iron fittings, forged steel fittings, steel pipe nipples and couplings, pipe hangers and hardware, channel and strut fittings, mining and oil field fittings, and much more.

     

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

    As General Laborer in Machine shop, may be assigned to any of the following functions according to staffing and production demands:

    Machine Operator:      Feeds metal parts into various metalworking machines. May secure part and/or depress dual anti—repeat buttons or foot petal to activate machine process. May remove product, inspect for defects, and place in designated area. Repeats process during assigned time period.

    Tester: Loads product onto machine, depressed button to secure, pulls down on bar to lower product into solution. Visually observes solution surface for air bubbles which indicates defect. Discards defective product into reject bin. Pushes accepted product off machine, loads more product, and repeats process during assigned period. Periodically transfers rejected product to designated area. Fills out production forms.

    Assembler: Assembles various components per specifications by hand and/or with use of fixed or hand-held pneumatic drivers.

    Chip and Oil Worker: Services machines according to maintenance schedule. Fills machines with coolant, oils machine heads, shovels out chips and sludge, changes filters. Cleans up spills with automatic floor scrubber. Periodically performs machine pump out procedure.

    Forklift Operator: Upon obtaining certification, operates forklift to position and remove palletized materials throughout various production areas.

    Paint Line Operator: Loads and off bears product to and from conveyor carrying parts into and out of paint machine. Obtains product from and drops painted product into floor bins. Repeats process throughout assigned period.

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

    As a General Laborer in the Foundry, you may be assigned to any of the following functions as needed per production and staffing needs:

    1.    Desprue spurs from molds using hands or hammer. Lift product from shaker belt, snap off spurs, or apply downward thrust of product to break off spurs on hard metal base, or use 2~/2 lb. hammer to remove spur by hammer blow.

    2.   Sort product by shape and size, discarding imperfects, using hands. Pick up 2 to 4 different size and shape products from shaker belt, and toss into appropriate bin or designated area, using both hands. Visually observe for imperfections and discard into designated area.

    3.    Shovel sand onto belts. Using standard flat edge shovel, shovel from floor to heights of 46 inches on continuous basis.

    4.    Shovel sand from pits using flat edge shovel. May also remove bucketsful of sand from work area.

    5.    Sweep and clean designated areas. Using push broom, sweep dust and debris from assigned areas and discard into waste receptacle.

    6.    Operate forklift. Upon obtaining certification, operate forklift to transport waste and product.

     

  • Maintenance Mechanic

    Henderson, Tennessee

    We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Mechanic at our Henderson, TN facility.   Successful candidates must have completed an approved four year industrial mechanic apprenticeship or equivalent training. The candidate must have at least two years of experience in the installation, repair, modification, and preventive maintenance of heavy metal working industrial production equipment and facilities to insure reliable, accurate, and safe operation. Extensive mechanical and industrial technical knowledge and experience including hydraulic and pneumatic systems is required. Experience with metal stamping presses and feeder lines is preferred.  Must be able to use all common hand and power tools, use precision measuring instruments, read and interpret technical drawings and manuals, and weld. The candidate must also be able to comply with all applicable safety and environmental regulations.

  • Plant, General Accountant

    Waynesboro, Pennsylvania

    Anvil International & Smith Cooper International is seeking a Plant General Accountant. The General Accountant will support the financial reporting of the BECK and JBSmith organizations. She/he will be responsible for analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments and obligations incurred; Compile and prepare analysis and reports of accounting activity and data; Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements and reconciliations.

    Additional Functions:

    • Analyze company operations to determine cost effectiveness of individual operations, departments and contracted services to make appropriate recommendations. Monitor and follow up on changes to ensure results are related to forecast and the changes meet needs of company.
    • Review results of operation after period close and resolve discrepancies and problems as necessary. Responsible for general ledger transactions and reconciliation. 
    • Prepare/revise monthly forecasts and annual budget. 
    • Analyze and prepare Capital appropriations. Track post implementation performance.

    The General Accountant is a junior level position. The position is based in Waynesboro, PA and will REQUIRE travel to Houston TX on a monthly basis.

  • Assistant Warehouse Manager

    Elk Grove Village, Illinois

    Position Purpose:

    To assist the Warehouse Manager to properly maintain all aspects of daily operations of the warehouse while monitoring productivity, cost controls and recommending improvements. Manage productivity through the staff and operational situations.  Provide coaching and guidance in all areas to maintain good morale in a safe work environment. Responsible for coordinating all training including safety awareness.

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintain high visibility and floor supervision required to insure desired levels of production, accuracy, and compliance to established policies and procedures.
    • Mentor and train staff of two shift supervisors and about 28 warehouse associates; conduct performance reviews, discipline, and training.
    • Analyze daily workload in WMS.
    • Prepare and review monthly production reports and any other reporting as needed
    • Direction of distribution staff activities in support of receiving, inventory integrity, picking and shipping activities.
    • Provide direction to Shipping Clerk to insure WMS assignments are appropriately distributed to insure adherence to established shipping standards.
    • Insure compliance to all established goals and objectives via daily cut off times and desired turn and fulfillment rates.
    • Provide on-going training for all personnel via product knowledge, error tracking and review and performance for past work periods.
    • Establish and maintain a high level of communication with management at all levels, staff, and customers.
    • Communicate all problems and concerns to Manager in a timely manner.
    • Conduct a daily end of shift sweep review of the WMS paperwork and shipping dock to insure daily compliance of established standards at completion of the first shift.
  • Help Desk Support Specialist

    Exeter, New Hampshire

     

     

    Job Summary: The Help Desk Support Specialists' shared responsibilities include service desk ticket operations, monitoring of systems/network communications as well as provide level 1 end user support for IT support center. Work with team to ensure all daily operational functions are properly completed according to job schedules. Provide base-level desktop support in a Windows10 AD environment for corporate/field operations. Maintain and administer backup/recovery systems for offsite data storage management. Monitor and maintain the execution of control functions, including; job schedule/logs and adds/changes/deletes of account profile security/maintenance. Performs other duties as assigned.

    Essential Functions:

    • Provide day-to-day monitoring of all systems providing; Service desk end user support, user security access and base-level administration for Microsoft Operating Systems, O365, Win10, AD, AS400 systems and network communications (50%)

     

    • Provide service desk application phone and GoTo remote support to field locations, as they directly relate to systems being monitored (40%)

     

    • Provide base-level network Active Directory user account password administration (5%)

     

    • Ability to learn, then perform base level M3/AS/400 user account / role password administration (5%)

     

    • Performs other duties as assigned
