  • Digital Content/BIM Engineer

    North Kingstown, Rhode Island

    Position Summary: 

    Responsible for supporting company efforts to become a BIM and digital content leader in the PVF industry by providing BIM execution oversight, model management, model QC, and VDC support. 

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist and coordinate data transfer and validation to third party content developer.
    • Manage the creation, issuing, and revisions of detailed BIM drawings & models.
    • Update and modify existing models and drawing sets as required.
    • Create and release content data, models, and/or mechanical designs in a fast-paced environment to scheduled targets.

  • Sr. Machine Operator-Lathe

    Somerset, New Jersey

    Job Summary:  : Perform machining and related machine shop functions in support of the company’s activities, as directed by immediate supervisor, or through subordinates when so directed.  Position may require travel to customer's job sites.

     Primary Functional Responsibilities:

    • Set up and operate various machine shop equipment including, but not limited to, lathes, drills and milling machines.
    • Work from operation traveler, prints, and oral instructions to select tools and determine the proper and most efficient method to machine parts.
    • Understanding of imperial(inch) and metric(mm.) measurements
    • Operate lathe or milling machine to perform required machine operations -- Able to use a 4 jaw chuck; Able to use a DRO (digital readout)
    • Use various measuring devices to ensure work is to print specification including, but not limited to, micrometers, calipers, verniers, thread and plug gauges.
    • Machine/inspect production parts as required and make adjustments until part is machined within specifications.
    • Use crane, dollies and carts to obtain and return material to and from storage area and move completed job to next operation.
    • Store all tooling, inserts and additional point-of-use items in an organized manner, in drawers, on work bench etc. Vending machines with proper labels, color coding, floor marking or other identifying mechanism.
    • Maintain work area as well as machines, tools, and equipment to meet program requirements and PM schedule.
    • Perform all job functions in accordance with established operating procedures.
    • Identify and assist in remediation of any and all safety hazards in the work place.

  • Valve Assembler

    Somerset, New Jersey

    Job Summary:  Disassemble valve(s)/valve components, clean/sandblast valve/components and re-assemble valve(s)/components. May also have to pressure test assembled valve to verify rework. May require the use of a saw to cut bar stock to assist in the rework process.  Assemble all other commercial or nuclear product lines using a variety of bench assembly tools and equipment.  Conduct all activities in a safe manner and follow all safety rules and regulations. providing assistance on all field service work during outage season

    Primary Functional Responsibilities:

    • Work from operation traveler and Quality Assurance programs to disassemble customer-supplied valves and valve components, draw out and verify component parts and hardware from stock crib. Prepare and fill out all required records and forms.
    • Work from prints, traveler, and oral instructions to prepare commercial or nuclear components for assembly. Check parts for visible defects.  Prepare units and attachments for shot blast and paint operations as required, making sure that critical surfaces and orifices are protected.
    • Assemble components for pressure testing, when required, according to specifications and procedures using a wide variety of bench assembly tools. May require the use of a saw to cut bar stock to assist in the reassembly process.
    • Complete all paperwork including tagging of material, packing list, and material travelers. Insure that heat codes and other requirements are transferred to traveler sheets.
    • Present products for inspection.
    • Complete all entries in computer log including customer, shop order, unit size, and test recordings.
    • Gather all valve, valve components and pertinent data together and deliver to shipping to be packed and shipped back to the customer.
    • Maintain work area, along with machines, tools, and equipment in a safe, neat, clean and orderly condition.
    • Perform all job functions in accordance with established operating procedures.
    • Identify and assist in remediation of any and all safety hazards in the work place.
    • May require some travel to support field service during outage season(s).
    • Perform other duties as directed by Team Leader/Supervisor.

    Work Environment: The work environment is representative of those in a standard machine shop environment including extreme cold and heat.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

    The work environment consists of a number assembly, welding and machine shop areas.  While the Company makes every effort to reduce and eliminate all safety hazards, this type of environment does involve safety hazards, which require extra care on the part of the employee. Such hazards include, but are not limited to: moderate to high pressure testing, high electrical voltages; chemicals; and sharp objects, such as might be generated around machine tools.  The noise in the work environment is moderate to high.  Temperature extremes are regulated, but not as closely as typical indoor offices.  Personal protection equipment is provided.

    This sales position will be based in the Southwest with a territory in TX, OK, AR, LA & MS.    Ideally the candidate will be based in Dallas or Houston, but a non-Dallas/Houston base is not disqualifying. Primary valve sales responsibility will be directed at the architectural and engineering (A&E) firms, end users, industrial contractors with some distribution training/support.  Working under the supervision of the Vice President of Valve Sales with some additional direction provided by senior sales leadership (product & regional), the Valve Specialist is provided the opportunity to learn or expand upon his/her knowledge of the valve industry and sales knowledge/strategies, all while earning a competitive base salary plus commissions.     Starting Rate: $14.50 (includes 3rd Shift differential)

     

    The Machine Operator performs work in various departments to which they are assigned on a day-to-day basis.   • Cut Off Operator - 2nd Shift

    Greencastle, Pennsylvania

    Beck Manufacturing, located in Greencastle PA, a division of Anvil International, is seeking a Cut-Off Machine Operator for 2nd shift:

    2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm, $13.75

     

    The Machine Operator sets the machine to cut pipe to a specified length. The machine is either an automatic feed or the operator will hand feed the machine by pulling the pipe at waist level until the cutting blade engages. 

     

    The operator must periodically check for quality and accuracy of length and/or bore size using gages or dial calipers. The operator may be required to make minor adjustments to the machine using general hand tools including hammers, screwdrivers, open and closed end wrenches, ratchets and sockets in order to achieve desired results.

     

    The operator is responsible for changing the cutting tool using an allen wrench when needed, maintaining the proper level of all lubricants using site gages or visual inspection, keeping their work area clean and safe, keeping foreign objects out of the tubs containing cut pipe, and maintaining accurate production records in the computer system. 

     

    Operators will run one or two machines based on the level of automation of the machine.

  • Machine Operator 2nd Shift

    Greencastle, Pennsylvania

    BECK Manufacturing, a division of Anvil International, located in Greencastle, PA is accepting Applications for Machine Operator 2nd shift.

     

    Location:  BECK Manufacturing, Greencastle PA

    Shift: 2nd / Monday through Friday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm

    Rate: $14.50 

     

    The Machine Operator will operate various auto thread machines. The Operator is responsible for loading the machines with pieces of pipe that have been cut to a specified length per the production schedule (cut blanks).   Some machines must be “hand-fed” by the operator. The operator uses his/her hands to pick up the cut blanks out of the tub and place them into the machine loading magazine (above shoulder reach). Other machines are fed automatically as the operator uses a rake to pull cut blanks into a large bowl that rotates and loads them into the machines.

     

    The operator may be responsible for running up to six machines based on production demands.
