Anvil International Enhances Sales and Distribution Operations in Texas and California
Portsmouth, NH, April 15, 2009 — Anvil International, a subsidiary of Mueller Water Products, Inc. (NYSE:MWA), has announced two in-state facility relocations. Anvil is relocating one of its four major regional service centers from Grand Prairie to Irving, TX as well as a distribution facility located in Santa Fe Springs to Ontario, CA, both to be fully operational in early April, 2009.
Anvil is committed to providing its customers with the most efficient and effective means of delivering quality service and products. The new Irving Regional Service Center, located at 1401 Valley View Lane, is comprised of more than 200,000 square feet of space that combines warehouse, operations, and sales under one roof.
This state-of-the-art facility also includes a 2,500 square foot training facility which will enable Anvil to offer on-site training on its products and services. In addition, this location will be a primary source of oil and gas products including Catawissa and J.B. Smith brands to support its Energy Division.
The new facility includes a warehouse management system that utilizes bar-coding on all Anvil products, ensuring order accuracy and on-time shipments. The warehouse features over fifty warehouse bay doors and two 25-foot doors with ramps to allow trucks to fully enter the facility, providing maximum shipping and receiving flexibility.
Anvil is moving its Santa Fe Springs distribution facility to 1470 South Vintage Avenue in Ontario, CA. This new location will share space with the James Jones Company, a Mueller Co. business. Anvil’s new Ontario facility will stock inventory for both Mechanical/Industrial and Fire Protection distributors to better serve its Southern California customer base.
